Description of the job

A vacancy for an Aerodynamics Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “ Flight Physics”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Wind Tunnel Test requirements and test programmes preparation
·  Flight Test requirements preparation for flight data gathering (RFFD)
·  Stability & Control, Loads and Lift & Drag Aerodynamic Datasets,
·  Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations, in Support to aerodynamic data generation and verification
·  Dataset Tolerances (Standard Tolerances, Special Tolerances, Grouping Offsets, Non-Compliance Tolerances)
·  Flight Test Corrections

Within the position:

·  Support to wind tunnel campaigns, flight test campaigns, perform dedicated aerodynamic analyses, and perform computational fluid Dynamics calculations.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  University Degree in engineering with focus on aerodynamics or similar
·  Experience in Aerodynamics and Dataset will be valued, in particular with regards to EFA Datasets
·  English: fluent
