Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The general purpose is to be a financial consultant to the respective business partner (Global Sales Team) by providing transparency, analysis and advise that enables and drives fact-based decision-making; all aimed to improve the commercial success of adidas across the globe.

Together as an integrated Brand & Sales Finance organization we provide our commercial business partner with one shared view for strategic and financial decision making. We will support the Global Sales Team in their objective “… to accelerate growth through best branded shopping experience at all consumer touchpoints”.

For the adidas Group, eCommerce is a key strategic priority for the next years with the fastest growing sales channel and the overall objective to build a successful pillar of our commercial business model.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering:

· Partner with Global Sales and Digital Brand Commerce teams within the assigned area of responsibility
· Enable fact based decision by creating transparency and advise on the entire P&L for eCommerce
· Monitor and analyze global and local eCommerce P&L’s
· Lead medium size projects related to eCommerce or DtC (Own Retail and eCommerce together). Implement change and ensure sustainability of achievements

Reporting, Analysis & Expertise:

· Identify opportunities and risks through analysis of the key performance indicators, derive solutions and facilitate related decisions
· Ensure that standardized reporting and ad hoc analysis is available in cooperation with the global Brand and Sales Finance Team
· Further strengthen the reporting base for eCom and DtC – both design of reporting and system implementation
· Provide comprehensive expertise for assigned x-channel sales systems, reporting and processes towards team and business partners
· Manage cost centers and support cost center managers in all financial tasks (e.g. investment requests, cost recharges, etc.)
· Develop and implement adequate communication packages to present derived results, recommendations and solutions

Innovation & Strategy:

· Further streamline reporting of eCommerce, omni-channel initiatives and DtC
· Look continuously for synergy with Retail Finance colleagues in analysis and reporting
· Go after efficiency and simplification in analysis, reporting and communication. Less is more.
· Develop new processes, standards or operational plans and deliver results with direct impact on the department and overall targets
· Contribute to the achievement of global Brand & Sales strategy

Key Relationships:

· Global and Regional eCom Sales teams on all hierarchical levels
· Digital Brand Commerce team
· Brand and Sales Finance team (e.g. Wholesale, Market finance, Brand Finance)
· Global BI and Global IT

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Deep business understanding eCom in general, of processes and structure.
· High degree of customer orientation. The ability to see the customer’s point of view. Support but also challenge!
· Ability to manoeuvre in consistently changing and fast-pacing environment
· Ability to operate cross-functionally (omni-channel, sales, brand) and understanding of external business drivers.
· Good communication skills for persuasion and convincing others both internally and externally
· Experience in Project Management
· Ability to think and act strategically and develop operational plans
· Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
· Business fluency in English (written and spoken)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· University degree in Finance or Accounting
· CPA and/or MBA preferred
· Industry experience in apparel/fashion or FMSG
· Familiarity with SAP and BI or other ERP/reporting software preferred
· 3-6 years related experience
