Purpose:

Manage the development and commercialization process of assigned products in collaboration with the Tier 1 (T1) factory development, commercialization and technical teams. Additionally, oversee the direct development process between Headquarter/Creation Centre (HQ/CC) Project Management and Tier 1 (T1) factory.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop products on time in full (OTIF) to the target price and in accordance with the design and technical requirements; while maintaining an emphasis on performance, quality and integrity.
· Engineer products with a focus on productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
· Ensure T1 fully explores new concepts, processes and materials as requested by the Product Creation Group.
· Work with the T1 commercialization team to conduct all commercialization stages in accordance with the confirmed development and design specifications, while emphasizing product performance integrity.
· Frequently visit the production line with focus on product quality, process improvement and collective learning.
· Ensure tracking reports are updated and utilized as a project management tool.
· Deliver all development and commercialization samples on time (e.g. CR1, CR2, Fit and Wear etc.)
· Understand and implement all transfer policies and guidelines ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times with minimal or no delay in production timing.
· Communicate timely and effectively the commercialization status to all necessary functions and departments.
· Work with manufacturers and suppliers in continuous upgrades of technical applications and processes including the development, commercialization and implementation of new technology
· Takes an active role in the costing process by working in collaboration with T1, LO and HQ/CC costing on reaching target margins/FOBs on all products

· Continuously build up category specific competence within the team and ensures product is executed accordingly.
· Support and guide the team to further their technical skills and process understanding.
· Support technical training in area of expertise when needed. (e.g. on boarding, visitors technical skills training)
· Assist Category Leader in overseeing the direct development process, including building T1 capabilities when needed.
· Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with HQ / CC and other key parties as listed below,
· Assist Category Leader on the escalation management process

· Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as agreed upon with the Category Leader.
· Use good judgment in all situations in determining when to be principle centered vs. policy driven following the spirit of the Adi Dassler Standards.

Knowledge skills and abilities :

· Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing including pattern engineering, mould making, materials processing, etc.
· Ability to interpret 2D drawings and 3D models
· Good understanding of costing principles
· Ability to create, plan and deliver presentations
· MS office skills
· Fluent English, written and verbal, BULATS level 3 or equivalent

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· Four-year college or university degree
· At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the athletic footwear industry in technical capacity and / or product creation functions.
· Proven record of accomplishment in the footwear industry.
