Purpose

As a Business Development Manager you support the execution of the adidas Group Global Sales organisation’s strategy and principles by managing key sales initiatives as well as cross-functional projects; and by being an active team member in cross-functional teams.

You also provide support for Executive Board Member responsible for Global Sales

Key Accountabilities

· (Project) Coordinate collaborative global projects, process improvements, new tools’ implementation and best-practice sharing that are in alignment with the strategies and priorities of the adidas Group’s Global Sales organisation.
· (Project Management) Practice standard project management approach and effective communication methodology
· (Communication) Update the management team regarding status and implications of individual projects in a consistent and effective manner
· (Network) Build a network acting as a focal point for local markets, global functions and other key support functions to ensure identification of relevant projects
· (Top Management Support) Provide support for the Executive Board Member responsible for Global Sales
· (Team) Act as team player and collaborate with other team members

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience

· Good interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, negotiation)
· Good methodological skills (e.g. business planning, strategic development)
· Good functional skills (e.g. Operations, Customer Service, Finance, IT)
· Good level of commercial awareness and business acumen
· Adequate knowledge of the adidas Group business along with significant industry experience
· Mental flexibility, initiative, determination and results orientation
· Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. Skills and abilities in another language are a benefit

Qualifications

· Degree in business ideally with focus on Sales/Marketing/Finance
· Business: minimum 3-5 years
· Functional: minimum 2-3 years in the sporting goods or comparable industry, Consulting background preferred
· Leadership: proven experience as project lead
·
Strong analytical skills, expert knowledge in Microsoft Office (mainly Powerpoint and Excel) required

· Cross-functional experience ideally with sales / marketing / finance / operations
· Industry: sporting goods / retail / consumer goods / consulting
