Key tasks

Sport & Recreation Executive is responsible for day to day operation of the Recreation Department, delivery of a varied, fun, safe, and health-beneficial fitness program to all guests in line with Novotel service standards and achievement of guest satisfaction, as well as financial targets.
S&R Executive Is responsible for developing individual lesson plans, being familiar with various styles of class formats, supervising class participants, and leading instructional sessions.
• Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with the Hotel/Recreation guests
• Establish and update the member’s database of regular guests
• Inspect the Recreation and machines frequently, ensuring the utmost cleanliness and maintenance standards
• Be actively involved in the recreation department’s promotional activities and maximization of memberships and profits
• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains an excellent standard of customer service.
• An understanding of current trends in fitness
• Previous experience in supervising and leading participants in an instructional environment
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, muscular function, exercise program implementation, safe group exercise or instructional procedures, and use of related class materials and/or equipment
• An ability to learn new formats is desired
• Awareness of safety and risk management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Essential and optional requirements

Desired candidate Fitness Instructor certification through a nationally recognized certifying agency/organization (NSCA, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA), First aid and CPR qualification with a minimum of one year experience in similar role. Must be computer literate with effective communication skills and an excellent command of written and spoken English.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a solid background in Recreation & Spa with passion for quality and excellence. Outgoing, creative and eager to share the desire to deliver Novotel service standards and AccorHotels values with guests and associates.
