Key tasks

Night Manager

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To comply with all Statutory and Company regulations relating to Weights & Measures, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Conduct of Employees and all emergency procedures.
• To be responsible for the overall security of the hotel premises including the staff block during the night (11pm to 7am unless otherwise notified).
• To ensure that all Night Staff comply with the Hotel’s Bomb and Fire Evacuation procedures.
• To co-ordinate Fire Evacuation if alarm sounds, ensuring all guests evacuate safely to the Fire Assembly point, and liaise with Fire Brigade and other relevant authorities in case of an emergency.
• Produce weekly rotas and forecast for the Night Staff, taking into account business levels, budget wage costs, holidays.
• To ensure that all cleaning is carried out by the Night Porters to a high standard.
• To ensure Front Desk standards of operation are strictly adhered to.
• To receive and post any late pay in’s, ensuring that the pay in balances with the Z till receipts and the float is correct.
• Register any wake up calls & place newspaper order.
• Check in/out any late arrivals following The Hotel’s standards and procedures.
• You are required to make yourself available for training communications & meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given.
