Account Receivable Clerk

 Position Objective: for you to ensure ahigh quality and consistent focus on the administration and coordination of the receiving accountant for the hotel, which contributes to and supports the needs ofour Finance Department and hotel. 

Summary of Responsibilities:

• To consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• To handle all guest billing issues and disputes, including credit card initial inquiries and charge backs
• To guarantee proper handling of the filing systems in place according to the policies and procedures
• To prepare account billings promptly and accurately with required supporting documentation
• To monitor customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
• To reconcile accounts
• To communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
• To follow departmental policies and procedures
• To follow all safety policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

We are looking for a well organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:

·  Previous office administration or Accounts Receivable knowledge preferred
·  Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required
·  University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
