Job description

Key tasks

Selling event spaces and accommodation
Managing the Conference Sales department
Maintaining and building relationships with key accounts and clients
Welcoming guests for onsite famils
Closing the sale of events to meet set budgets and targets including pre/post event follow up
Weekly and daily revenue reporting
Database management
Proactive selling where required
Meeting, greeting and hosting clients on the day of events
Communicating events to all internal departments effectively

Previous experience in conference sales / conference coordination
High level of attention to detail
Fantastic customer service skills
A passion for events and hospitality
Ability to meet deadlines
Great negotiation skills
Be innovative and idea / solutions focused
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of event booking systems (Opera) would be an advantage
Self motivation
Excellent personal presentation
Flexibility of availability, including meeting and greeting clients outside of regular business hours when required
