JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

Responsible for management and introduction of SMT/PCBA manufacturing lines into Third Party Manufacturing facility. Ability to perform functional testing and programming of SMT and PCBA. Leads and participates in design, planning and introduction of SMT/PCBA production lines. The position provides technical leadership, project management and mentoring to engineers and team members. Drives activities at the supplier(s) to ensure that production start-up through to scale up to increased volumes are achieved within ADC requirements.

Independently conceives and develops approaches to the solution of problems which require application of advanced technical knowledge.S

Applies working knowledge of related disciplines.

Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of major project or in a total project of moderate scope.

Solves problems with a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.

Directs the works of technical, clerical support and less experienced engineering staff.

Participates in the technical evaluation of assigned staff and in the identification of development needs.

May provide input on potential candidates to be hired into team. ,Interfaces with product team members, department managers, designers, R&D, marketing, internal regulatory.

Frequent inter-divisional collaborations.

Represents department/ division on projects.

Education/Qualifications:

B.S. Engineering or equivalent plus progressive technical experience and demonstrated competence. Electrical / Electronics degree preferred. Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.

SMT AND PCBA FUNCTIONAL TESTING AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
UNDERSTANDING OF SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING RELATED TO FUNCTIONAL TESTING
EXPERIENCE OF LARGE SCALE SMT & PCBA MANUFACTURING PROCESSES REQUIRED

Preferred Skills:
Experience of working in a medical device manufacturing environment

Experience of leading cross functional teams to support large scale projects including the implementation of New Products into manufacturing at supplier sites

Prior in experience and familiarity with cGMP, FDA and ISO regulated environment
Understanding & knowledge of equipment software & GAMP guidelines

Experience in work with design & FAT qualification actives.

Equipment design and specification with Validation experience
