Engineering interns are assigned projects related to the design and testing of industrial gearboxes, motors or mechanical power transmission products that provide hands on work supporting the R&D teams. The interns will have the opportunity to become an active participant of the product design team. They will work on real projects related to mechanical design and analysis. Past projects include: Gearbox accessory design, testing of mounted bearings and motors, thermal analysis, creating models and drawings for new product development.

Tasks:

Work as a member of the R&D Team to complete design projects

Create Solid models and drawings

Perform product performance testing and prepare test reports

Present results of work to team members and Engineering Management

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently pursuing a degree at a U.S. based Institution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated active pursuit of Industrial, Mechanical, General, or Electrical Engineering Degree.

Solid analytical and problem solving skills.

Strong computer and mathematics background

Proven ability to work with others

Excellent verbal and written communication

Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts, including some weekend work

Previous experience and/or education in an Engineering or Quality

Strong work ethic
