Engineering Intern

Job description

This position is a 3-months contract for interns or new graduates.

Tasks:

Provide support to the Engineering and Proposals team in areas such as :
• Update Engineering drawings ( from Marked up copies to autocad)
• Add Library items on AutoCAD and testing of the system. i.e do a project and test the system to see bugs.
• Create blocks in Auto Cad for different sizes and types of switch gear (front and side views)
• Create blocks in Auto Cad of all instruments used (relays, switches lights…. ) including cutouts
• Create a library for breakers drawings CAD and 3D (from different old projects) in one folder and complete what is missing .
• Assistance on documentation like project manuals, wire markers, nameplates etc.
• Assistance with drafting work and as builts.
• Document changes done by the work shop and update the drawings.
• Update mechanical parts library .
• Start to create a coding for repeated retrofit projects including BOM.
• Review RIR projects and make sure that RDP (retrofit design policy) are completed.

Requirements:

1. College or university 3rd or 4th year student in an Electric Power Engineering program
2. Basics understanding of Power systems
3. Excellent communication skills with an excellent Command of English language, spoken and written
Knowledge of:
AutoCad is a must
Solidworks or equal equivalent software will be a plus
Microsoft office suite
