Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will primarily be responsible for planning the purchase and distribution of finished goods for the Automotive Aftermarket (AAD) from 3M plants and non-3M manufacturers, both US and OUS.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Determines the timing of procurement and distribution of product using SAP
·  Manages inventory to the appropriate level to achieve the asset management and service requirements of the business units served
·  Manages the performance of manufacturing suppliers and the relationship between them and 3M
·  Identify, lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma projects for process improvement in Supply Chain
·  Provide reporting of Supply Chain related metrics back to the supported businesses and data analysis to support planning and supplier management activities

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum of two (2) years of Supply Chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Business Administration, and/or Production Operations Management from an accredited university
·  Four (4) years Supply Chain experience
·  Experience working with complex supply chains
·  APICS certification or willingness to obtain
·  Experience with SAP
·  Intermediate level (graphs, sorting data, basic formulas) or higher MS Excel proficiency
·  Computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office Suite (remaining applications not noted above)
·  Proficient with analytical tools MS Access and/or BOXI
·  Experience working on Lean Six Sigma projects
·  Experience with lean manufacturing and/or corporate supply chain planning analysis systems: COMS, Figures, PeopleSoft, MIRS, Supply Chain Planner (applies to internal applicants only)
·  Experience representing the Supply Chain organization on business teams
·  Team player with strong people skills
·  Strong organizational and time management skills
·  Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
