We are currently looking to recruit an ambitious Legal Counsel (m/f) for our site in Mannheim. The jobholder will support tender processes and projects in execution by assuming responsibility for all legal aspects of the business and the interfaces with customers, suppliers, partners and authorities. The Legal Counsel will closely collaborate with different functions from within the Business Unit and will act as a business partner to resolve claims, improve outputs and overall add value to the projects from a legal point of view.

Your main responsibilities:

- Analyse the bidding documents (ITT, RFQ, RFP etc.) and identify issues
- Offer advice on bidding strategy & set-up and assume responsibility for bidding agreements
- Joint risk analysis and mitigation strategy for multi-functional issues & gaps with relevant stakeholders
- Preparation of contract summaries, obtaining mandates and responsibility for teaming agreements (consortium/partnership agreement, shareholders’ agreement), key sub-supplier agreements and negotiation of the supply & service agreements
- Responsible for public procurement law review procedures (defensive & offensive)
- Support to Project Management/Commercial Management for commercial, contractual and claim aspects of customer, partner & supplier contracts
- Responsibility for project and non-project related litigation (incl. court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution)
- Provide compliance training to board members and regional/division functions (incl. corporate law, anti-trust law, anti-corruption law) and manage engagement of external legal consultants

Qualifikationen

We are looking for a fully qualified German Lawyer (Volljurist) or the like in other jurisdictions with excellent credentials, profound knowledge of contract law and preferably also practical expertise in public procurement law, antitrust & competition law and/or commercial law, gained through experience as an in-house legal counsel or with a private law firm.

Business fluent (written and spoken) level of German and English languages is mandatory.
